This Privacy Policy explains how information is collected, used, and disclosed by National Summer School Initiative, Inc. (“NSSI”), and applies to the personal information collected from our online or mobile websites, our communications with you, or when you use our services (collectively, the “Services”). It applies to all websites owned or controlled by NSSI that post a link to this Privacy Policy.
I. WHAT PERSONAL INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT? We collect and process personal information when you:
Visit our website;
Enter information on our website;
Call or message us for user support;
Subscribe to our newsletter; or
Interact with social media channels or other sites that allow for sharing of information with us.
We may collect the following personal information from the above interactions:
Your name;
Your physical address;
Your email address;
Your organization and your role there;
Your IP address;
Your Device ID and browsing data.
II. HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Marketing. We may collect your personal information in order to provide you with free-of-charge marketing related materials. If you do not wish to receive such marketing materials from NSSI via email, then click the “unsubscribe” button on the bottom of the email; for communication via postal mail, contact us at digital@nssi.org.
Collection and Use of Aggregate Information. We may use aggregate information (not containing personal information) to analyze trends, administer our website, track users’ movements, and gather broad demographic information on aggregate use.
III. WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
Service Providers. NSSI uses certain trusted third parties to provide certain services for our business purposes including website hosting, data analysis, and IT services. These third parties will access your personal information only to provide the Services on our behalf.
Marketing Partners. We do not sell personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. We do share a limited set of data that is gathered when you visit our websites, such as cookies and pixels, with third party marketing automation platforms. To the extent this activity is interpreted by California law’s broad definition of “sale of data,” we have provided you with opt-out rights of this activity. Compliance with Laws. We may disclose your personal information to a third party if (a) we believe that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request; (b) to enforce our agreements or policies; (c) to protect the security or integrity of the Services from harm or illegal activities; (d) to respond to an emergency which we believe in good faith requires us to disclose information to assist in preventing the death or serious bodily injury of any person; or (e) to any other third party with your prior written consent.
Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your personal information in connection with, or during the negotiations of, any merger, sale of NSSI assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of the business to another company.
IV. COOKIES, ANALYTICS, AND SIMILAR TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies such as pixel tags/web beacons and social media widgets (collectively “Cookies”) to collect and use information about how visitors use our website. Cookies are small data files that are placed or accessed on your device when you visit websites or other digital properties. These technologies help our website function effectively, improve user experience, and analyze website usage. We do not use cookies for advertising or retargeting purposes.

b. EU & UK Users. Our website is not directed at users outside of the United States. Nevertheless, EU and UK users have several rights with respect to their personal data including the following: (i) the right to be informed; (ii) the right of access; (iii) the right of rectification; (iv) the right of erasure; (v) the right to restrict processing; (vi) the right of data portability; (vii) the right to object to processing; and (viii) the rights in relation to automated decision making and profiling. Our legal bases for collecting and processing personal data include performance of a contract and/or consent. EU users also have the right to lodge a complaint about the collection or use of their personal information by notifying their EU (or UK) supervisory authority. c. Retention Policy: We will retain your Personal Information as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy unless a longer period is required for legal or compliance purposes.
d. Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a “do not track” (“DNT”) option. We do not respond to DNT signals.
VI. SECURITY
We employ industry standard technological measures that are reasonably designed to help protect your personal information from loss, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While we take reasonable efforts to guard personal information, no security system is impenetrable.
VII. POLICY ON INFORMATION COLLECTED FROM CHILDREN The Services are not directed at children under the age of 13. NSSI does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you become aware that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at digital@nssi.org. VIII. CHANGES NSSI may need to update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our Services and the laws applicable to our provision of the Services to you. If we do change this Privacy Policy, we will notify you by revising the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. If there are material changes to this Privacy Policy, NSSI will notify registered users of our Services. NSSI encourages you to review this Privacy Policy regularly for any changes. Your continued use of the Services and/or continued provision of personal information to us after the posting of such notice will be subject to the terms of the then-current Privacy Policy.
